Don't Lose Yourself

It has been taught to us since childhood that language is a way of communication by which people transfer and share information. Since humans are the only species who are capable of speech, they had the privilege to develop their own languages and dialects depending on their region and culture. Since ages the generations have passed on the cultural values, science, art with the help of these languages, either orally or through written texts. According to Ethnologue, there are around 7000 languages spoken in the world today. But sadly, half of world’s population speaks only 8 of these languages which has put thousands of rest of the languages on the verge of extinction. India, which has always boasted its diversity on global stage, has around 200 endangered languages and dialects. If we think of language as a mere tool of communication we need not worry since we will always have one or the other language to communicate (mostly English as years roll by). But language is much mo

The Hunt

More than 18 months ago I had started writing to voice out my opinions on the issues prevailing in the society. But soon after that life took such twists and turns which gave me little time to worry about the society and compelled me to engage in the pursuit of finding my life goal. Engineering life was coming to an end so it was essential to find a path I desired. Coming from a family where last 7 generations were either self-employed or businessmen, it had to happen that I wanted to take the same route. Thus opting out of college placements I went for a sales job in Mumbai and Thane in the pursuit of hunting for ideas while exploring. The shift from a comfortable student life in a relatively calmer city of Pune to the life of a Sales Executive in the busiest city in India was unimaginably rough. It was the hardest I was ever hit and it made me curse my decision. For a guy who was used to get above average results with minimum efforts it wasn’t easy to work 12 hours a day, t

Achhe Din Jaroor Ayenge!

When you see things happening around you that you've been wishing for you start believing in the Power of People's voice ! I wrote my first article because I couldn't cope up with the insanity around the Caste based reservation system. I simply couldn't understand how it can be so difficult to understand that a society changes in decades and so should the rules and regulations in order to have a balanced life. Reservations should only be based on economic backwardness . Casteism should be eradicated. Just like me there are millions of young Indians who are wishing the same all around India. Now we are seeing some positive movement in that direction! Click on the link below to read an article from Times of India stating that Quotas are likely for poor among upper castes. The NCBC is ready to include Economically Weaker sections of upper class in the list. This makes me believe, people will be heard when their thoughts will resonate. And if we are gonna be hea

It's Time to Move On...

Hey it’s DiwAli! It’s that time of the year when the whole nation celebrates the festival with love and happiness. The combo of extra lights, sweets and presents enhances the joy of togetherness. But it saddens me to see the same people bearing the feelings of religious differences which resurface as soon as the festival is over. We still have certain issues because of our over-sensitive sentiments and false beliefs which don’t allow us to be secular though India has become secular over six decades ago. In an era which is supposed to see India becoming a superpower by virtue of progress in its national economy, development in science and technology, our people are stuck on proving the superiority of one religion over other. But how many of those know and understand what religion actually is? And what does any religion teach? If they would have known and understood we  wouldn't  have fought over issues like Religious Intolerance at all! Let’s get some perspective here. The ren

Reservation System: Government Approved Crutches

Amid the hullabaloo over the reservations in the country, because of the Patels going nuts in Mahatma Gandhi’s state (you’ll get the context if you remember Poona Pact), we get to read dozens of articles every day. So why did I choose to jump into an already overcrowded pool?  It was because none of the articles were blunt enough to tell the entire truth. Moreover I could no longer tolerate the immaturity of my fellow countrymen who call themselves proud Indians but don’t understand the true meaning of citizenship. So what on earth is this reservation shit? Why do we even have this fucking system? Read along to know. Reservations were initially introduced into the Indian Constitution to uplift the underprivileged section of the society and put them at par with the rest of the people which would ultimately result in every individual getting an equal opportunity to thrive and succeed in life. Oops! We are talking about reservations in the education system so let’s not consider th
